The Blackjack Millionaire

A betting system is basically a way of using money management to maximize your profits. Managing your money properly is the major criteria while playing blackjack, as no technique or method can win you money unless you effectively deal with your bet.

Most blackjack betting systems can be categorized as multiplicative, additive or linear. The Martingale system is considered to be the most widely used blackjack betting system. It was invented over 200 years ago. The system is multiplicative in nature, which means that you are required to double your bet each time you lose, on the assumption that you will eventually win and show a profit from the initial wager. However, in order to eliminate the effectiveness of this system, casinos have set table limits, which ensure that after a long losing streak you will eventually hit the table maximum limit and have to quit the game or start afresh. Also, in order to make the system work you also need a considerable bankroll.

The Progressive Betting System, on the other hand, is the simplest and the most effective betting system. In this system, a player simply decides on a minimum and maximum bet and then bets the smaller amount after a loss and the larger amount after a win. However, this kind of betting system fails when you experience a win, loss, win, loss type of scenario. In such cases, it is advisable to bet an equal amount on each hand.

Winning Big at Blackjack Review

A massively popular game, Blackjack is a card game with the main aim being to have your hand add up to 21. Requiring an equal measure of skill and luck, it's popular amongst the whole family (of legal gambling age!) and is the most frequented game in casinos around the world.

The excitement that comes from playing a live game of Blackjack in a casino is immense. However, in recent years, the most popular and regular big wins that come from Blackjack have been those from the online community. The most recent story being of a young lady from America who has won the progressive Blackjack jackpot at a popular Blackjack online website 10 times in under 8 years, amassing a grand total of $657,290 in winnings (that's not taking into account her "regular" winnings on Blackjack either!). The said company is known for its massive prize handouts - they recently handed out of $5million to a gentleman from Finland who had placed a single $0.50 bet on a progressive jackpot. Scooping the whole lot, the man became an instant millionaire - not bad for the initial cost of a chocolate bar.

Increase Your Knowledge - Online Blackjack Rules

You can learn the online blackjack rules without the fluff and excess.

The Cards

In online blackjack rules, the number of cards you play with will depend on the specific online casino. In some cases, it is just one deck, in other cases it may be as many as eight decks. When it comes to shuffling, many online casinos will shuffle after every deal, while others will notify you when it is shuffling and starting over on the deck.

The card values are as followed:

• Numerical Cards: two through ten are worth their face value. A nine is worth a nine; a five is worth a five, and so on.

• Face cards: Kings, Queens, and Jacks are all worth ten points.

• Ace: An ace can be either high or low. A high ace is worth 11 points - which is typically used to make blackjack - and a low ace is worth one point.

What is blackjack? Blackjack occurs when a player reaches 21, without going over. A natural blackjack occurs on the first deal, this is made up of two cards, one card with a value of 10 and the Ace, which is worth 11 points in this case.

The Deal

In online blackjack rules, the dealer will deal two cards to each player and him or herself as well. One card is face down and the other card is face up. Typically, depending on the online blackjack rules of the specific online casino, the betting will occur before the deal. At an online casino, the only other betting that occurs is when a player chooses to split or double down.

Online Blackjack Rules: Taking Action

There are several different types of action you can take on your turn. The key is to remember that your only goal is to beat the dealer without going over 21. The following is a description of the various actions:

Hit - You are choosing to take another card, you can hit as many times as you'd like, until you stand or bust.

Stand - You have decided to stop hitting and take a chance on beating the dealer, no more cards are dealt to a player that stands.

Bust - You have busted when you go over 21.

Split - This occurs when a player has two of the same cards, such as two eights, two aces, or two fours, and so on. The cards will be split and each split will make a new hand, you are required to make a bet on the second hand as well. With each of the hands, you can take the above actions to hit or stand as well, unless you bust.

Double Down - With this, you are betting double and winning double. When you decide to double down, you will receive only one additional card, and after that you must stand, unless you bust.

Insurance - When the dealer has an Ace showing, they will offer insurance. You can decide to buy insurance, in case the dealer has blackjack, which will insure that you have not lost money. This only occurs on the first deal.

We hope this look inside online blackjack rules has given you the tools you need to start playing and learning the game we all love.

Basic Blackjack Strategy

If you're new to gambling, you might be wondering why blackjack strategies are so important. The blackjack strategies are based on your total card count, versus the dealer's visible card.

Basic blackjack strategies are not difficult to master. If you are a casual gambler and you are not very serious with your game, then learning and using blackjack strategies are not that important. Blackjack strategies are all rules of thumb and should not be taken as gospel. Blackjack strategies vary for different blackjack game combinations. Blackjack strategies are compiled using statistical analysis. Most blackjack strategies are found almost anywhere from online blackjack sites, online casinos, to good old paperback books. The most common blackjack strategy is to double down and split to double or triple your bet.

Several blackjack experts have tested and refined the basic blackjack strategies through computer simulations. Blackjack strategy can get pretty complicated the more you delve into it, but the basic theory is quite simple. The basic blackjack strategies change slightly when you've got a soft hand, which is when an Ace is valued 11 instead of 1, with a total less than 21. You must also know basic card counting skills if you want to win.

Blackjack Training

Blackjack is one of the most popular games played in casinos. Blackjack is also known as "twenty one" or "pontoon." The game is a mix of chance and skills coupled with decision-making. The game has evolved over a period of time. Players have specialized in certain skills like "card counting," with which they turn the odds of the game in their favor. The game has been in existence since the 1700s. References can be found in historical scriptures to a game known as "vingt-et-un," which means twenty one in French, and is considered the precursor to blackjack.

Any player with more blackjack hands or points is the winner of a game. Any hand which reaches 21 is considered a winner. The total should not exceed that of 21, in which case the hand is said to be "bust." The aim of each player is go beat the dealer. If both the player and the dealer have the same score, it is called "push," with neither the player nor the dealer winning the hand.

The Blackjack Budget

Blackjack doesn't require a set budget. Playing traditional blackjack will allow you to visually get acquainted with the other players and the game before you place a bet. When you play blackjack online, however, you are playing alone, so betting may be something you need to take your time with.

Online blackjack requires you to bet what you feel you can easily win back. There are rules of thumb and rules that only require your gut instinct to follow through. The main rule that you should always follow when playing blackjack is to bet what you can afford to lose. Going over your budget may create a sour feeling between you and the game of blackjack. This is something you should always avoid when you consider how popular the game is.

The blackjack budget doesn't ever have to be huge every single time you play. If your skill level and strategy level is high and you believe that counting cards is your forte, you can risk betting large sums if you're sure than you'll have a huge payout sooner than later. If, however, you are new to the game of blackjack, you may want to consider only playing for fun until your card counting skills have increased.
